http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2013/02/tuesday-trigger-pattern-play.html

Here is my Trigger pattern Play for this Tuesday. I loved the cruel work on the fabric so thought about a quilt pattern which I had never tried before. I think it came out OK, I would have liked the colors a bit more vibrant but you can only work with what you have. The picture looked as if it had come out of an old steamer trunk that Grandma had so I tried to make my card look a bit nostalgic.  I placed the quilt pieces then added mock stitches, I embossed the stitching on the side. I added a bright blue button with natural twine at the top corner and the banner was lightly aged with Antique Linen ink. I hope you  like it!

CAS - Colours & Sketches: Tangerine/Sahara/Summer Starfruit

Here is my interpretation of these beautiful earthy tones all combined neatly within paper and stamps! I used the Sahara shade (Memento London Fog) on the Thanks as well as on the gray paper to lift the beautiful paisley embossing from the gray paper. I used Color box Pumpkin for the Tangerine on the boarder of the die cut frame and Mustard in place of Starfruit for "a Bunch" and a spritz of homemade glimmer mist on the flower base to add a slight punch of color to my recycled book page flower. (I do like to recycle anything and everything I can get my little hands on. Herbs, leftover tea, coffee, newspaper, you name it, if I can re-use it is in my craft room) A bit of natural twine for a bow and we are ready to send our Thank You!

Word Art Wednesday -Anything Goes

Photo Inspiration Color Chalange

Over at Peachy Keen Stamps it is a color challenge.
This is my interpretation of the photo. I took the colors and reproduced this beautiful card to send to a friend to Celebrate her birthday! I went almost totally old school using dies and only used my Cricut to cut the celebratory banner that I clipped on with a tiny little close pin. I thought it made it a little more cosy and warm along with the picket fence. (of course w all know it is a Tim Holtz die) I hope you all like my color and pattern choices, I just love hounds tooth!

Blue Snowflake - monochomatic

Hand glittered on the outside, handstampedon the inside,
you can use it as a decoration, year after year!

WInter Wonderland -monochromatic

Lots and lots of glitter applied to hand cut snow flakes from Crucut cartridge Artiste and Art Philosophy. A layer of purple velum paper edged with MS Cathedral Punch and verse was computer generated  also printed on velum. What can a grandmother do when her Grand daughters favorite color is purple?

Ch#3 Boarders -Crazy4Challenge C4C171 - Challenge for Everybody

Using MS Nested Petals I placed this beautiful boarder atop Best of K&Comapny matted on White Card Stock. I punched 3 MS Aster Double Craft flowers one each of the boarder, Mat paper and DCW in pale blue that I also used to stamp the verse. I used a button and ribbon from stash I had from Michaels and ink was from Vers Magic night sky and Aegean blue. This card is entered in 3 challenges (Ch#3 Boarders, Crazy4Challenges C4C171 and Challenge for Everybody-Always Everything Goes

Red and Pink only

Here is my Red and Pink only (You said black and white was OK) so I went on the wild side. I stepped out of my comfort zone on this one ladies and took a chance. I used ivory card stock then layered it with a bit of animal print. Yes, I said I pulled the Tiger Card out on this one, then used two shades of red and two shades of pink. I used the Phrases Cartridge from Cricut, the heart of course was the Valentine, but I stole the Rose from the Mothers Day page. I just couldn't use plain white lace at the top of the page so off came the gloves and out came the Ranger foil and the MS doily boarder punch. Who says you can't put metal and fur on a Valentines Card? Not Me.....Hey, technically it's all Red and Pink and neutrals.......right?

Anything Goes

Happy Travels...I made this card for a friend of mine leaving for Hong Kong.  I used a combination of  modpodge and glossy accents along with Tim Holtz Distressing ink. I had so much fun creating this card. I hope you enjoy!

A Touch of Gingham or Checks

Lavender Card stock matted with hydrangea (my favorite flower) a bit of gingham, more lovely lavender stamped with CTMH Artiste verse, then blessed with MS paper punched hydrangea leaves and flowers, all nestled together in a beautiful bouquet with a tiny gingham bow!  I hope you enjoy as much as I did creating my favorite bouquet!

Clean and Simple (Challenge #10)

White Cardstock simply stated with swiss dots embossed, edges distressed with the same blue stamped on the verse and the flower, only two shades of blue, but so delicate with the white, Very CAS! Hope you like!
(The embossing folders were Sizzix swiss dot, the die set was The Stamps of life with coordinating stamps Doodle Flowers, the Banner uses was Cricut CLose To My Heart Artiste with coordinating stamp. Inks used were Versa Magic Dew Drop Turquoise, night Sky and Aegean Blue. Ribbon was from stash from Michaels as were blue gems.)

Word ARt Wednesy-Anything Goes!!

This Beautiful Bible verse from Romans 8:31 is so profound and eloquent, you have to wonder if when it was conceived one could possible know just how very much we would need this in our lives today?! Placed on Ivory card stock, layered with a deep Merlot shimmer paper and rounded the corners. I then placed a layer of  shaded elegant cream and deep blue and almost a look of marbling.Using Sizzix Fancy Frames I cut 2 sizes one of the Merlot, one of the Ivory card stock. I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye to distress the cream Frame and then I stamped the verse from CardzTV set "Rejoice" and the Filigree from CTMH set "Thoughtful Tidings" using Colorbox from Stephanie Barnard "The Stamps of Life" in Cornflower.  Although it is a very simple card with out much to do, I believe it stands alone with it's simple elegance!  I hope you enjoy.

1,2,3 Challenge

I gave myself an extra challenge with this card since I needed a Birthday Card for a Teen Boy this month so putting a Bow and 3 buttons on a "young mans"card was my extra challenge.  I think it worked.  How about you? The card is a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4  cut on cream card stock. I cut Newsprint glossy background for the mat then rounded the corners only on the front side opening. I cut both light weight chipboard and recollections wood grain from Tim Holtz Movers & Shapers Vintage Cabinet Card using the Larger Keyhole so "eye" could be place inside.(the eye color wasn't exactly to my liking so I tinted it with Copic Marker to coordinate with the 3 misc. buttons) The Gears were cut from DCWV silver shimmer stack. Ribbon (wrights scroll braid w/beads) Bow knot was placed by slicing two small slots on left side to hide end and banner and arrow were cut using Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge.
