Word ARt Wednesy-Anything Goes!!
This Beautiful Bible verse from Romans 8:31 is so profound and eloquent, you have to wonder if when it was conceived one could possible know just how very much we would need this in our lives today?! Placed on Ivory card stock, layered with a deep Merlot shimmer paper and rounded the corners. I then placed a layer of shaded elegant cream and deep blue and almost a look of marbling.Using Sizzix Fancy Frames I cut 2 sizes one of the Merlot, one of the Ivory card stock. I used Tim Holtz Tea Dye to distress the cream Frame and then I stamped the verse from CardzTV set "Rejoice" and the Filigree from CTMH set "Thoughtful Tidings" using Colorbox from Stephanie Barnard "The Stamps of Life" in Cornflower. Although it is a very simple card with out much to do, I believe it stands alone with it's simple elegance! I hope you enjoy.
1,2,3 Challenge
I gave myself an extra challenge with this card since I needed a Birthday Card for a Teen Boy this month so putting a Bow and 3 buttons on a "young mans"card was my extra challenge. I think it worked. How about you? The card is a 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 cut on cream card stock. I cut Newsprint glossy background for the mat then rounded the corners only on the front side opening. I cut both light weight chipboard and recollections wood grain from Tim Holtz Movers & Shapers Vintage Cabinet Card using the Larger Keyhole so "eye" could be place inside.(the eye color wasn't exactly to my liking so I tinted it with Copic Marker to coordinate with the 3 misc. buttons) The Gears were cut from DCWV silver shimmer stack. Ribbon (wrights scroll braid w/beads) Bow knot was placed by slicing two small slots on left side to hide end and banner and arrow were cut using Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge.

My Beautiful Birthday Card!
This is the beautiful Birthday Card my sister sent me! Now the secret is out of the bag...this is where I get my inspiration from. My wonderful, and beautiful and awesome talented Sistah! (if you ask her, she will defer that she got her inspiration for this card from Gloria aka Spyrorocks346.) But we both love YouTube and love to watch Mary at CardzTV, Emma aka My Creative Time, not to forget Melody Lane with her wonderful YouTube Video's with Cricut cuts and CTMH and there are so many more I cannot mention here. You just have to check out my Blog and Blinkies! No matter how young or old you are, sisters are the very best...I love you Joan Smith (had to put a shout out so everyone knows it's you!) oxoxox You Rock!
Here is my new entry for the Square Valentine! Hope you all like it...it's my Hubby's Valentine :) !
I used Cricut Art Philosophy page 51, card, shift at 5 1/2 then cut the blue birds at 2" and backed them onto DCW Old World so they would show thru on the front and there would be a liner on the inside. I also cut the heart from Art Philosophy, pg 70 at 2" and the flowers and leaf punches are MS which I cut on white texture paper and colored with Copic Markers. The Verse on front is Tim Holtz, True Love is Gina K and tag inside cut at 3" and Stamped with CardzTV Ticket Talk.

Creative Corner/stampinwith the dragon/Inspire Me Fridays
Glossy paper layered atop white card stock, I then Heat embossed a beautiful black lace boarder, placed red and white "Amour" ribbon from my Michael's stash on the left edge and layered it to the base of my card. I die cut two frames, one from deep red card stock one from white and stamped my heart from CTMH and placed it on pop dots. I used black and white fabric flowers layered and secured with a red and white center (Inside I used die cut flowers from The Stamps of life but used stamps from CTMH to mimic the flowers on the front and used red gems from my stash. the verse is from CardzTV) This card is entered in 4 contests Inspire me Fridays, Stampin with the dragon, Creative corner and CardzTV)
